An ancestor altar does not belong to one path—many traditions keep a place for their dead, and the building of it is simple. Five things: a photo, a candle, a glass of water, a small offering (bread, fruit, or their favorite treat), and flowers or herbs. Whatever your tradition, remembering is holy.
